Vegas starting to see trickle-down effect of recession

There are normally three certainties in life: Death. Taxes....And Las Vegas will continue to make money even in the hardest of times. But now--gasp!!--Sin City may be following the trend that the rest of the United States is in their recession.

Ok, Ok, there's not been an official recession, but the government's attempt at robbing Peter to pay Paul still hasn't quelled the effects of what is a national downfall in the economy. But even so, even when the last recession of 1991 hit, Vegas saw a little hit, but in no time was back booming--but in the early reports from the year, the drop in the overall "take" for the gambling industry in Las Vegas is very concerning, especially considering that the country may have not hit bottom quite yet.

Experts state that the mainstream push of gambling now means that Vegas will not be immune from any national trends, and with oil prices surging meaning drive in traffic is going down and with the airline prices shooting sky high and lowering the amount of flights, the tourist traffic is down as well. Basically, don't bet on Vegas making a comeback any time soon--but don't worry, it will happen that things will be good again, but the question is when--and it may be longer than what people hope.
