Updated U.S. Presidential Election Odds

john_mccain.jpg

This week marked the first "stake in the ground" for the United States Presidential Election with the Republican party officially naming John McCain as its party's nominee after Mike Huckabee dropped out of the race and conceded. Now the nation continues to focus on the battle between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton for the Democratic nod. There are a few key states left that may decide the race, but in the mean time, Bodoglife.com, has updated their Presidential election odds with all three involved:

Hillary Clinton 7/2
John McCain 3/2
Barack Obama 13/10

While Obama has the odds in his favor, McCain's numbers are very close to his. It will be very interesting to see where the public sentiment goes now that McCain is the focus of all republicans and maybe can sway some that are on the fence party-wise as Clinton and Obama continue to trade blows. (Ooh, maybe not such a great statement to make with the name "Clinton" involved, eh?)

Stay tuned as the drama continues....
