A recent study of almost 800 frequenters of online casino players found that opinion of online gaming, and casino play, was dropping.
In this, 50% of those responding had the opinion that they were happy that online casinos were in fact, legalize in this manner, but only half of that original 50% thought that "playing online casinos" was acceptable for everybody".
While many critics point out that the negative media that has surrounded the US Online gaming ban over the past year has given to this "erosion" of public confidence, the study also found that nearly 4% of all American citizens had played online casinos--which is double what it was almost 3 years ago.
So, what does this mean? Well, to me, it shows that we're still plugging our money into the online gaming scene, but we're a little more covert and maybe even embarrassed now than we were before. Like the casinos care--just keep on pulling those cyber slot machines!
