TV's best bets for cancellation

It's always a little sad when a new TV show is cancelled. Even if the show is lousy, you're still aware that people's lives are being affected in a profound way. Sure, perhaps the viewing public can enjoy a sense of relief when the latest quirky roommates with the wacky neighbor sitcom gets canned, but it still leaves an assortment of actors, writers and crew looking for something else to do. So it's can be depressing...but also a little bit of good fun.

The site, Brilliantbutcancelled.com, is running a sweepstakes for fans to predict which of the 24 new series being introduced by the broadcast networks this fall will be the first canceled.

Early favourites are Happy Hour (3-1) and Men in Trees (4-1). I encourage all winners to pool their funds to bribe FOX into canceling the piece of crap that is The War At Home.
