Online Bingo in UK continuing to boom

Advertising had been strictly curbed for online gambling websites for a very long time in the United Kingdom. However, with pressure from the industry, the government decided to allow certain advertisements to be allowed, and the idea would be that these would be highly scrutinized to ensure that there was not abuse of this right.

What has resulted is that online bingo in the UK has gone through the roof in terms of players. The UK online bingo authority website BingoPort.co.uk, released data that since September 2007, when things started being a bit more relaxed, the average daily player numbers across all UK focused online bingo operators has increased by around 19%.

This is really big news in terms of simple profitability, because as the weather gets better and the summer brings a usual drop pretty significantly in terms of players, this could offset that greatly, and then again, with more advertising, it could mean an overall boon in terms of these websites "take" for all of 2008.
