Obama win in Iowa slashes odds

obama.gifThe Iowa caucus is always one that seems to be a biggie and sets the pace for the rest of the remaining campaigns for several US Presidential candidates. With Barack Obama's win for the Democratic side, Paddypower.com has released revised odds for the next president, and Obama's has been updated from 3/1 to now 2/1.

This has also affected the media darling (well, so to speak) Hillary Rodham Clinton's odds in the race. Even though she is still the fan fav, the odds have changed from the betting from 10/11 to 11/8. Not hugely significant, but significant nonetheless.

Now the campaigns journey to New Hampshire, another huge one on the campaign trail. If Obama wins that one, expect more of the same in terms of betting odds to change. In the Republican camp Senator John McCain is the man the beat there and has been installed as paddypower.com's red hot 8/11 favorite.
