Obama Slipping in Odds to become next US President

While many have thought that Barack Obama has made headway into the Clinton juggernaut, Vegas seems to think otherwise. While Hillary Clinton continues to plow ahead towards being the first female president in the country's history, Obama, who is also trying to set history by being the first black president, has fought feverishly to overcome his enemy.

With President George W Bush's sagging approval ratings, again the logic would predict that a democrat should win the next spot in the oval office. However, although Clinton is in the lead, now two republicans (Fred Thompson and Rudy Guiliani) have overtaken Obama in the race. Here's the breakdown according to intertops.com:

Hillary Clinton 2.35
Fred Thompson 5.00
Rudy Giuliani 5.00
Barack Obama 6.50
Mitt Romney 9.00
John Edwards 16.00
Ron Paul 16.00
John McCain 26.00
Bill Richardson 51.00
Chris Dodd 51.00
Duncan Hunter 51.00
Joe Biden 51.00
Mike Huckabee 51.00
Sam Brownback 51.00
Dennis Kucinich 101.00
Mike Gravel 101.00
Tom Tancredo 101.00

Interesting again how things are playing out--will this slide be the beginning of the slippery slope of failure for Obama?
