Steve Forte has published books about casino security that has been utilized by the likes of Harrah's Entertainment. He's even made videos to assist in training for security. He has done individual consulting for casinos specifically for his expertise.
But that's all gone now.
Forte was arrested in Atlantic City for allegedly conspiring to scam high-stakes poker games in a private room at the Borgata. The sad and shocking thing is--this is not his first scrape with the law, or even first potential offense related to gambling. He had a "gambling related felony" in New Jersey back in 1990 where he was caught by Harrah agents.
However, in the casino security industry, just like it is for some computer companies that hire former hackers, many personnel were former cheats. It's a high-risk high-reward situation, but as this case shows, behaviors seldom change forever. The next book Forte may be writing may be from an 8 by 8 cell.

Thanks for your comments-I totally see where you are coming from, it's just one of those things that eventually the issue of where people sometimes evolve from ends up being the primal enemy of those who embrace it.

Let's play devils advocate here. For Forte to be the top authority on gambling protection and therein be able to protect his clients from the newest and latest scams he must get his information from somewhere - which I can imagine sometimes involving him witnessing these acts first hand.
