Chris Cornell takes on Casino Royale tunes

00010632_danielcraig.jpgIt seems like the search for the next Bond-ian singer/songwriter may have reached a somewhat unexpected conclusion.

According to an interview in a Finnish newspaper, singer songwriter Chris Cornell has revealed he has written the theme song to the 21st James Bond film "Casino Royale" reports MI6.

This marks the first time since A-HA rocked British Intelligence in 1987's "The Living Daylights" that a double-o-tune has been performed by a male vocalist. One can only hope that the new tune will endure like Duran Duran's "A View to a Kill," and not fade like...well...pretty much everything A-HA did other than "Take On Me", which at least pops up on 80's albums and the odd Karaoke night.
