Becker joins Team PokerStars

On the tennis court, Boris Becker at times seemed unstoppable. Winning Wimbledon at a record-setting age of 17, he cruised to six grand slam wins in his career, and he was known for his aggressive and emotional play. And now--he's going to take that type of attitude into the online gambling world and live tournaments, joining Team PokerStars to represent them in several competitions.

In discussing this development, Becker noted that he picked up poker in between his matches to help develop his concentration and improving the mental aspect of the game. Since he played it alot, he developed into a great poker player as well.

Becker's first task as the new face of PokerStars will be to embark on a training program to improve his poker abilities to be able to compete at international poker tournaments. As part of his training, Becker will play in professional tournaments such as the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour (EPT) in Dortmund, Germany from Jan. 29 to Feb. 2 and the Grand Finale in Monte Carlo from April 12-17.
