Ban? What Ban? 888 Posts profit for 2006

Although many online books are crying the blues in terms of lost profits and lost customers due to the online gaming ban, 888.com, one of the major players in the industry, posted a 34% profit increase in 2006.

So, what gives?

Well, 888 decided to push multi-hand poker, backgammon, and new casino games, and the gamble paid off. Even this year, 888 took a risk and put some major cash towards a new online bingo business--and it is paying off as well. 888 has also put some accountability towards the broad scope of the European market.

Take heed, other books. You WILL need to make some major plays elsewhere in order to make that profit--and pray that the ban is lifted. Until then, good luck.....
