Australian Casino may need to create own paramedics

Melbourne's Crown Casino has nearly 55,000 visitors per day. This is great for business, but not so great for the collateral damage that occurs with such a high population base. The Brisbane Times have reported that because of several calls per day for emergency situations, such as trauma, heart attacks, food poisoning, and the like, the paramedics seem to visit 5-6 times per day.

What this has meant is that there has been pressure for the casino to possibly come up with their own paramedics to support this cause and to possibly improve turnaround time. Can't you just see it? A Rhinestone, neon-lit ambulance with paramedics wearing glitzy outfits jumping out with a diamond studded gurnee. Too much? Possibly.

Actually, when you consider how largely monumental these super casinos are beginning to be across the world, this may be a start of a new trend whereby some casinos need to be taking services, such as emergency items, into their own hands--it may start to play into their liability anyways.
