AOL to join online betting community

AOL UK, citing recent moves by other companies, has made a tentative agreement with German betting juggernaut FLUXX AG to market online sportsbetting in the United Kingdom.

The VP of Interactive Marketing noted that AOL has long been trying to enter this realm, and that considerations of long range partnerships as well as broadening of the horizons was needed for AOL to continue to move its business forward. FLUXX AG has always been a leader in the industry, and AOL also is excited to exploit the UK community, which is said to be one of the most exciting yet underdeveloped areas of gaming online.

Either way, when you get AOL involved, it's bound to explode. Under the terms of the agreement, British users will be able to place bets on various international sporting events using FLUXX subsidiary JAXX UK. Online services and search engine provider AOL already has a deal with Altenholz-based JAXX to run a lottery service, one of AOL's most successful e-commerce services in Germany.
